SUMMER
Hiking in the Low Tatras
Go to the highest peak of the Low Tatras - Ďumbier and you might even see chamois and marmots. The route leads from the Trangošky hut through the M.R. Štefánik hut and can be managed even by less experienced hikers and children. The other option is to use the cable car to Chopok and from there continue to Ďumbier along the ridge.
Caves
On warm days you can cool off in the Bystrianska Cave, which is only 5 km from the cottage. It can be reached by car and is also suitable for small visitors. On the other hand, the Cave of the Dead Bats is a bit of a hike, but a visit to Slovakia's only accessible alpine cave is definitely worth it.
